Recent Research Interests

My major is monetary economics, and my research is on the Bank of Japan (BOJ) and its monetary policy. The BOJ intervenes mainly in the money market, but its effect is transmitted to the entire financial sector, and then to the entire economy. My interests are in how the policy effects are transmitted and what policy operating procedures are better in what economic circumstances. My interests also include some recent issues such as non-conventional monetary policy, central bank credibility, and so on. I mainly carry out econometric analysis on these topics.
