Research Interests
My research interest is mainly in regional economics, especially, dynamic optimal path of local public goods. In this field of study, we have already so-called the Henry George theorem. This theorem is originally a static one, and it states that, for a necessary condition of the social optimum of the economy with many regions, the total land rent of each region should be spent for the supply of the local public goods in that region. As the result, the optimal allocation of the population over the regions in a country, or, at the same time, the optimal number of the regions can be achieved.
I am interested in the dynamic Henry George theorem, that is, to derive the optimal time path of the population of each regions over time. Also, I want to make research on the optimal population movement from rural area to urban area in a developing country.
