Research

The School of Economics publishes two institutional bulletins. One is called Keizaigaku-ronkyu, or Journal of Economics of Kwansei Gakuin University (ISSN 0286-8032). Its first volume was issued in 1948 as an effort to stimulate sound economics discussions among faculty members and students at Kwansei Gakuin University. Currently, the Journal has been published quarterly and recent articles in this bulletin are freely available through Kwansei Gakuin University Repository.

The other bulletin is called eX: Essays on Language and Culture. It was created in 2000 as an outlet for research mainly conducted by non-economics faculty members, which include professors who teach languages, cultures, and Christianity at the School of Economics. All the published articles of this bulletin are also freely available at Kwansei Gakuin University Repository.

Furthermore, the School possesses a discussion paper series, which dates back to 1983. This series is a testament of the active research among our faculty members and graduate students of the School, who are, in combination, among the top ranked economics institutions in Western Japan according to the RePEc system. All the papers in this series can be accessed through the IDEAS website.

In addition to these, the School is hosting two seminar series. One series is devoted to economics and the other to language and cultural studies. For these seminars see our Events pape.
